The Princess and the Frog: Original Songs and Score is the official music album for the 2009 Disney animated movie The Princess and the Frog. It was released by Walt Disney Records on November 23, 2009. This was just one day before the movie first came out in New York City and Los Angeles.

The album has ten original songs and seven pieces of background music, called "score." Most of these were created by the famous composer Randy Newman. He also worked on other Disney and Pixar movies like Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., and Cars.

One special song, "Never Knew I Needed," was written and sung by Ne-Yo. It even had a music video that played on Disney Channel. Many of the songs on the album are sung by the actors who voice the characters in the movie. The music has a strong African-American influence, with styles like jazz, zydeco, blues, and gospel.

Two songs from the album, "Almost There" and "Down in New Orleans," were nominated for an Oscar! This happened at the 82nd Academy Awards. "Down in New Orleans" was also nominated for a Grammy Award in 2011.
