The Twisted Whiskers Show is a funny cartoon series from 2010. It was made in Canada, France, and the United States. The show is based on the silly Twisted Whiskers greeting cards. These cards were created by Terrill Bohlar for American Greetings.
The show first aired on October 10, 2010. It was one of the first shows on a TV network called Discovery Family. This network used to be known as The Hub. A total of 26 half-hour episodes were made. These episodes were created by several companies. These include American Greetings Properties, DQ Entertainment, MoonScoop LLC, CloudCo, Inc., and Telegael. The cartoon also played in the United Kingdom on CBBC. Later, it was shown in Finland on MTV3 Junior.
Meet the Characters
Get to know the funny animals from The Twisted Whiskers Show! Each character has a unique personality. They often get into hilarious situations.
- Goosers (voiced by Scott McNeil)
- Goosers is a yellow labrador retriever. He is very loyal and trustworthy. He often has to protect his owner, Claude. Sometimes he protects things Claude cares about. He keeps them safe from strange events.
- Yawp (voiced by Scott McNeil)
- Yawp is a small, energetic puppy. He cannot talk, but he has a huge personality. He is often seen with his friend Dander.
- Dander (voiced by David Kaye)
- Dander is a cat who used to live a very easy life. He lives with a woman who works in government and with other countries. Dander is new to the outside world. He often gets into trouble because he doesn't understand things. He and Yawp are always trying to find their way home. They fell off a moving truck and got lost.
- Dine & Dash (voiced by Scott McNeil and David Kaye, later Peter Kelamis and Lee Tockar)
- These two are street-smart alley cats. They have black and white stripes like prison uniforms. Dine is the quick-talking leader. Dash is the lovable but not-so-smart one. They will do almost anything to get food. They might steal it or trick others.
- Tiny Head (voiced by Colin Murdock)
- Tiny Head is a grown-up tabby cat. He has a head that is as small as a kitten's. He is always positive and happy. He talks a lot, which sometimes makes him miss what's happening around him.
- Cutie Snoot (voiced by Kathleen Barr)
- This little kitten has pink fur. She looks very cute, but she has a mischievous side.
- Mister Mewser (voiced by Bill Kopp)
- Mister Mewser is a house cat with black and white tuxedo markings. He lives alone in a huge old mansion. He thinks of himself as a fancy human. He keeps mice as his helpers. He loves watching old Western movies.
- Broken Bear (voiced by Scott McNeil and later Colin Murdock)
- Broken Bear is a bear who was tagged by wildlife experts. He now believes aliens took him. He expects the aliens to come back for him. He thinks he will be their leader.
- Cambridge Kitty (voiced by Colin Murdock)
- Cambridge Kitty is a wise alley cat. He acts like a animal psychologist. He gives scientific advice to anyone who asks for his help.
- Flouncie (voiced by Kathleen Barr)
- Flouncie is a big dog. She feels bad about herself and wants a playmate. She thinks she is delicate, but she is strong. She can accidentally hurt animals she tries to befriend.
- Gasper (voiced by Scott McNeil)
- Gasper is Tiny Head's pet goldfish. He often becomes the victim of Tiny Head's kind but clumsy actions.
- Ird the Bird (voiced by Scott McNeil)
- Ird is a blue jay with a deep voice. He appears in most episodes. Sometimes, he is a rival to other characters.
- Jack (voiced by Bill Kopp)
- Jack is a smart terrier dog who wears glasses. He takes his glasses off when his owner is around.
- Sinister Squirrel (voiced by Scott McNeil)
- This squirrel is a bit crazy. He is easy to spot because a piece of fur is missing from his tail. He is known as an enemy to Goosers and Ird.
- Smidgeon
- Smidgeon is Mister Mewser's small mouse butler. They like each other more than they would admit.
- Von Ripper (voiced by Scott McNeil)
- Von Ripper is a guard dog. He looks like a shark with his silvery gray fur. He wears a spiked collar and has many sharp teeth. He is usually a rival to other characters.
- Zippy the Greyhound (voiced by Lee Tockar)
- Zippy is a retired racing dog. He is very jumpy from his racing days. The smallest sound makes him run away fast. He usually crashes into something painful.
