Tiarah Lue Blanco (born May 5, 1997) is an American professional surfer. She is famous for winning gold medals at the International Surfing Association (ISA) Open Women's World Surfing Championship in both 2015 and 2016. Tia is from San Clemente, California.

Where Tia Grew Up
Tia Blanco was born on May 5, 1997, in Puerto Rico. Her family background is quite diverse. Her mother has Filipino roots. Her father's family comes from Italy, Ireland, and France.
Tia has one sister named Aja. They were raised in a Christian home. Because her father was a lieutenant commander in the Coast Guard, Tia's family moved around a lot. She lived in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and San Clemente, California.
Learning to Surf
Tia started surfing when she was very young. Her father taught her how to ride the waves. This early start helped her become the amazing surfer she is today.
Tia Blanco's Surfing Career
Starting Competitions
Tia Blanco began competing in surfing contests when she was 13 years old. She quickly showed her talent. In 2014, she won two big competitions. These were the Under 18 National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) Southwest Women's and the Surfing Prime America Women's events.
As part of the USA Surfing Team, Tia also placed third overall in the 2014 World Juniors. When she was 18, Tia won first place at the 2015 World Surf League Ron Jon Vans Junior Pro.
Winning World Championships
Tia Blanco achieved a major milestone in 2015. She won the gold medal at the International Surfing Association (ISA) Open Women's World Surfing Championship. This event took place in Popoyo, Nicaragua.
She didn't stop there! Tia successfully defended her title the next year. She won the 2016 championship in Playa Jacó, Costa Rica. This made her a two-time world champion.
Beyond Surfing Competitions
In 2017, Tia appeared on MTV's show The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros. On the show, she helped raise $1,000 for St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
In 2021, Tia won first place on ABC's show The Ultimate Surfer. Winning this show earned her a spot to compete on the World Surf League Championship Tour.
Partnerships and Businesses
Tia Blanco has partnered with several well-known brands. These include Reef, Sony, TCL, and J7 Surfboards. In 2017, she worked with VeganSmart to create her own protein supplement. It was called "Peaches and Cream" by Tia Blanco.
In 2022, Tia launched a special collection with the apparel line JOLYN. This collaboration was called JOLYN x Tiarah. She also became their JOLYN Surf ambassador. Tia Blanco started dating Brody Jenner in 2022. They met in Hawaii. They got engaged in June 2023. Tia and Brody welcomed their daughter, Honey Raye Jenner, on July 29, 2023. She was born at their home in Malibu, California. Tia and Brody were married in a small ceremony at their home in Malibu on July 12, 2025.
Lifestyle and Hobbies
Tia Blanco is vegan. This means she does not eat any animal products. In 2014, she won an award from PETA. This "Libby" Award recognized her work as a vegan ambassador. Besides surfing, Tia also enjoys painting and practicing yoga.
