Tiger Lily is a brave fictional character from the classic stories of J. M. Barrie. She first appeared in his 1904 play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up and later in his 1911 novel Peter and Wendy. Tiger Lily is known as the daughter of Great Big Little Panther, the chief of the Native American tribe in Neverland. She is a strong and independent young woman who is a close friend to Peter Pan.

Early Film Appearances
In the 1924 silent film Peter Pan, the role of Tiger Lily was played by actress Anna May Wong. This was one of the first times her character was brought to life on the big screen.
Disney's Animated Version
Tiger Lily is also a character in the 1953 Disney animated movie Peter Pan. In this film, the evil Captain Hook kidnaps Tiger Lily. He tries to leave her to drown at Skull Rock. However, Peter Pan bravely rescues her and brings her back to her tribe. Her father, Big Chief, is very happy and grateful for Peter's help.

Peter Pan & the Pirates (1990 TV Series)
In the animated TV series Peter Pan & the Pirates, Tiger Lily's voice was provided by Cree Summer. In this show, she and her brother, Hard-to-Hit, often join Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, the Darling children, and the Lost Boys on their exciting adventures. They work together to help their friends.
Peter Pan (2003 Film)
The 2003 film Peter Pan, directed by P. J. Hogan, featured Carsen Gray as Tiger Lily. In this movie, Tiger Lily shows a special interest in Wendy's younger brother, John Darling.
Neverland (2011 Miniseries)
In the TV miniseries Neverland, Tiger Lily is called Aaya. She was played by actress Q'orianka Kilcher. The name Aaya means "lily of tiger" in her native language, which is a nice connection to her original name.
