Silvio Peter "Tino" Insana (born February 15, 1948 – died May 31, 2017) was an American actor, writer, and comedian. He was famous for his funny roles in movies and TV shows. He also lent his voice to many popular cartoon characters.

Early Life and Comedy Beginnings
Tino Insana was born in Chicago, Illinois. His father, Silvio A. Insana, was a musician. In 1971, Tino helped start a comedy group called the West Compass Trio. He formed this group with Steve Beshekas and John Belushi. They performed at universities across the Midwest.
Later, Tino and John Belushi joined a famous comedy theater called The Second City in Chicago. In 1975, Tino left Second City to create his own comedy group. This new group was called The Graduates. They appeared on TV and performed at many places.
Movies and TV Shows
Tino Insana started acting in movies in 1977. His first film was a comedy called Crackin' Up. In the 1980s, he also worked as a writer for TV shows. He wrote episodes for Police Squad! and Sledge Hammer!. He also helped edit the stories for these shows.
Tino appeared in several well-known movies. These include Neighbors, Three Amigos, and Beverly Hills Cop III. He also made guest appearances on TV comedies like Night Court and Mad About You.
Voice Acting Roles
Tino Insana was especially known for his voice acting in cartoons. He voiced many characters that kids loved. One of his most famous roles was Dr. Reginald Bushroot in Disney's Darkwing Duck. He also voiced Bobby's Uncle Ted in Bobby's World.
He was the voice of Pig in the animated movie Barnyard. He continued to voice Pig in the TV series Back at the Barnyard. In 2008, he voiced Barf in Spaceballs: The Animated Series. This was a role originally played by the famous comedian John Candy.
Tino also lent his voice to characters in many other cartoons. These include Goof Troop, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin. He was also the speaking voice of Mr. Grouper in Bubble Guppies.
Later Years and Passing
Tino Insana continued to work in entertainment for many years. He passed away on May 31, 2017, at the age of 69. He died from heart cancer in Los Angeles, California.
