Titus Malachi Bramble (born on July 31, 1981) is a former English footballer. He played as a centre back.

Titus Bramble played in the top English league, the Premier League, for over 13 years. He played for big clubs like Ipswich Town, Newcastle United, Wigan Athletic, and Sunderland. After finishing his playing career, he became a coach. He even coached at the Ipswich Town academy, where he started his own career.

He also played for the England under-21 team 10 times between 2000 and 2002.

Playing Career Highlights

Starting at Ipswich Town

Titus Bramble was born in Ipswich, England. He began his football journey at his hometown club, Ipswich Town. He made his first team debut in the 1998–99 season.

He played 48 league games for Ipswich. For a short time in 1999–2000, he played on loan at Colchester United. Titus scored four goals for Ipswich. These goals included one against Sunderland in the league. He also scored in cup games against Millwall, Coventry, and Torpedo Moscow in the UEFA Cup.

Time at Newcastle United

In July 2002, Bramble joined Newcastle United. He moved for about £6 million after Ipswich was relegated from the Premier League. He wanted to become a key player for the manager, Sir Bobby Robson.

In 2006, Titus scored an important goal against league champions Chelsea. This goal helped Newcastle qualify for the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Later, in August 2006, he scored another vital goal for Newcastle. It was a header against FK Ventspils from Latvia in the UEFA Cup.

Moving to Wigan Athletic

Bramble joined Wigan Athletic for free on June 4, 2007. He signed a three-year contract with the club. On January 2, 2008, he scored a goal against Liverpool at their home stadium, Anfield. His 20-yard shot helped Wigan get a late draw of 1–1.

On November 15, 2008, he scored an equalizer against his old club, Newcastle United. The game ended in a 2–2 draw. Titus played very well during the 2008–09 season. He won four awards at the club's awards night. These included 'Player of the Year' and 'Player's Player of the Year'. He extended his contract with Wigan until 2012.

Playing for Sunderland

On July 23, 2010, Bramble moved to Sunderland for £1 million. He signed a three-year contract. At Sunderland, he was reunited with his former manager from Wigan, Steve Bruce. He scored his only goal for Sunderland in a 4–0 win against Stoke City on September 18, 2011.

Sunderland released Titus Bramble in 2013. He had played 51 games for the club. After leaving Sunderland, he trained with West Ham United. He also trained with Ipswich Town again but was not offered a new contract.

Short Spell at Stowmarket Town

In August 2017, after not playing for four years, Bramble joined Stowmarket Town. This club plays in the Eastern Counties Football League. He joined them as a player-coach.

Coaching Career

Titus Bramble became the Under-11 coach at Ipswich Town. He shared his thoughts on football topics during his coaching time.

Personal Life

Titus has a brother named Tesfaye Bramble. Tesfaye was also a footballer. He played for the Montserrat national team.
