Tony Amendola (born August 24, 1951) is an American actor. He is well-known for playing the wise Jaffa master Bra'tac in the TV show Stargate SG-1. He also played Pinocchio's creator and father, Geppetto, in Once Upon a Time. Another big role was Edouard Kagame, a revolutionary leader, in the TV series Continuum.

Tony Amendola's Early Life

Tony Amendola was born in New Haven, Connecticut, in the United States. His mother came from a town called Amalfi in Italy. He was the first person in his family to go to college. At first, he planned to become a lawyer. However, his path changed, and he started taking both law classes and theater classes.

After finishing his studies at Southern Connecticut State University in 1974, he earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree in 1977. He got this degree from Philadelphia's Temple University. In 1978, he moved to Los Angeles to start working in movies and television.

Tony Amendola's Acting Career

Tony Amendola is famous for playing many different types of characters. He played Santos Jimenez in the drama Dexter. He had a long-running role as the Jaffa master Bra'tac in the science fiction series Stargate SG-1. He was also Kagame, the leader of Liber8, in the Syfy show Continuum.

In ABC's fantasy drama Once Upon a Time, he played Geppetto and Marco. He also played Father Perez, a Catholic priest, in the 2014 horror movie Annabelle. He played this role again in the 2019 movie The Curse of La Llorona.

Amendola appeared in the 1998 adventure movie The Mask of Zorro as a Spanish judge. He played a different character in the 2005 sequel, The Legend of Zorro. In the 2001 crime drama Blow, he played a Mexican farmer.

He has also appeared in many other TV shows. These include The X-Files, Seinfeld, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Angel, Alias, The Practice, and Star Trek: Voyager.

Tony Amendola also has a long history of acting on stage. For his first twelve years as an actor, he worked mostly in theater. Some of his stage roles include plays like Othello, The Taming of the Shrew, and The Merchant of Venice.

He is also a voice actor for video games. He voices Khadgar, a main character in the video game World of Warcraft. In 2019, he voiced Jedi researcher Eno Cordova in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. He returned to voice Eno Cordova in the 2023 sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
