Discovering the Tidal Bore
Have you ever heard of a river that flows backward? In New Brunswick, you can see a special event called the Tidal bore. This happens because of the super high tides in the Bay of Fundy. When the tide comes in, it's so strong that it pushes the water in the Petitcodiac River upstream, making it flow backward!
For a while, a causeway (a raised road over water) made the bore smaller. But now, people are working to replace it with a bridge. This will help the river flow more naturally and bring back the full power of the tidal bore.
