Triadelphia is a small town in Ohio County, West Virginia, United States. It is part of the larger Wheeling, West Virginia area. In 2020, about 669 people lived there.

Triadelphia's History

Triadelphia was officially started in 1829. Its name comes from Greek words meaning "three brothers." It was likely named to honor the three sons of the person who first owned the land where the town was built.

Today, Triadelphia is home to The Highlands. This is the biggest shopping and entertainment center in the northern part of West Virginia. A historic place called the David Stewart Farm is also nearby. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Geography and Location

Triadelphia is located at 40°3′3″N 80°37′37″W / 40.05083°N 80.62694°W / 40.05083; -80.62694. It sits along two small streams, Little Wheeling Creek and Middle Wheeling Creek. These streams flow into the larger Wheeling Creek.

The United States Census Bureau says the town covers about 0.67 square miles (1.74 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
