Have you ever played a game where you jump around and collect things? That's called a platform game! Trolls is a fun platform game based on the popular Troll doll toys. It was made by a company called Flair Software. The game first came out in 1992 for computers like the Amiga, MS-DOS, and Commodore 64. Later, in 1994, it was also released for the CD32 system.
In 2009, the game was released again for the Nintendo DSiWare system. But this time, it had a new name: Oscar in Toyland. The company no longer had the rights to use the Troll doll characters. So, all the Troll characters were changed to a new character named Oscar.
When Trolls Was Released
The game Trolls first came out in 1992. It was available for several computer systems. These included the Amiga, MS-DOS, and Commodore 64. A few years later, in 1994, it was also made for the CD32.
The game was even part of a special collection. It was bundled with other games like An American Tail: The Computer Adventures of Fievel and His Friends. It also came with Rock-A-Doodle Computerized Coloring Book. This collection was called the Capstone CD Game Kids Collection.
What Happened Next: The Legacy
The game Oscar in Toyland was released in 2009. This was the same game as Trolls, but with different characters.
Two more games were made after this one. Oscar in Movieland was another version of the first Oscar game. Then, Oscar in Toyland 2 was a brand new game in the series.
