Trumbull is a small village located in the state of Nebraska, United States. It is found in both Clay and Adams counties. In 2020, about 198 people lived there. Trumbull is also part of the larger Hastings, Nebraska area, which is a group of towns connected by their economy.

History of Trumbull
Trumbull was officially started in 1886. This happened when the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad built its tracks through the area.
There's an interesting story about how the village began. It's said that the farmer who gave the land for Trumbull had one special rule. He wanted alcohol to be completely forbidden within the village limits. This rule was supposedly written into the village's original charter.

Trumbull is mostly located in Clay County. Only a very small part of the village extends into Adams County.

Education in Trumbull
Trumbull used to have its own schools. However, in 2000, the Trumbull Schools joined with Doniphan Public Schools. This created the Doniphan-Trumbull Public Schools system.
Now, all students from kindergarten through 12th grade attend classes at the school building in Doniphan.
Trumbull Community Center
The village of Trumbull has a special place called the Trumbull Community Center. Many local events and gatherings happen here. People can also rent different parts of the building for their own events.
The Trumbull Community Center Corporation owns and runs the center. This group was started in 2008 to serve the public.
