The Tucalota Hills are a group of small mountains, also called a low mountain range, located in Riverside County, California. They are part of a larger system of mountains known as the Peninsular Ranges. These hills are not super tall, reaching an elevation of about 2,382 feet (726 meters) at their highest point.

Where are the Tucalota Hills?

The Tucalota Hills are found in a sunny part of Southern California. They are located east of a large body of water called Lake Skinner. To the southwest, you'll find the city of Hemet, and to the northeast is Temecula.

Nearby Landmarks

A big lake called Diamond Valley reservoir actually fills a basin right in the northwestern part of these hills. This lake is an important water source for the area. Looking further out, the San Jacinto Mountains are to the northeast, and the Santa Ana Mountains are to the west. So, the Tucalota Hills are nestled between several other mountain ranges and important water reservoirs.
