Tucky Williams is an American director, producer, screenwriter, and actress. She is well-known for creating and starring as Evan in the Amazon streaming series Girl/Girl Scene.

About Tucky Williams
Tucky Williams started college when she was just fifteen years old. She studied meteorology, which is the science of weather, and broadcast journalism. She attended both the University of Kentucky and Mississippi State University.
As a meteorologist, she worked on TV, reporting the weather for an ABC station in Lexington, KY. She also teaches yoga classes.
Williams has openly shared her experiences with epilepsy, a condition that affects the brain. She even used her own experiences with epilepsy to help create the story for her character in Girl/Girl Scene.
Tucky Williams' Career in Film
Williams created, wrote, and was an executive producer for the web series Girl/Girl Scene. This series tells stories about diverse characters and their relationships. She also played the main character, Evan, in the show.
In 2016, another web series she created, called Dagger Kiss, was released. This series was a fantasy story that focused on female characters. Williams not only created it but also starred as the main character, Arden.
Directing and Producing Films
Tucky Williams directed her first short film, Juliet and Romeo. This film was a modern version of Shakespeare's famous play Romeo and Juliet, featuring female main characters.
She also produced and acted in another short film called Othello: Desdemona's Death. This was her second time putting a new spin on a Shakespeare play, based on Othello. In 2019, she executive produced, wrote, and directed Girl/Girl Scene, which was a film based on her popular web series.
Acting Roles in Movies
Williams began her acting career in movies as Vix, a zombie slayer, in the 2007 cult horror film Dead Moon Rising. A cult film is one that has a small but very dedicated group of fans.
She played the main role of Dana Fontaine in the 2008 direct-to-video film Shadows Light. Direct-to-video means the movie was released directly for home viewing, not in theaters. She also had important roles as Becca in Blink (2007) and as Ranger Darcy in Red River (2011).
Inspiration for Her Work
When asked about how her own life experiences influence her films, Williams explained that she wanted to create stories that showed what life was like for her and her friends. She felt there weren't many shows that truly represented them. She believes that good writing often comes from personal experiences.
Awards and Recognition
Tucky Williams has received several honors for her work.
She was named one of The Advocate's "40 Under 40." This list highlights young, powerful leaders in media, politics, sports, and science who are shaping the future.
Williams also won an award for Best Screenplay for her writing on Girl/Girl Scene at the World Independent Film Expo.
In 2012, she was listed in the top ten of AfterEllen's "Hot 100." This list celebrates 100 inspiring women.
