This peaceful community sits on a piece of land called a headland. It sticks out into the big Tasman Sea. A narrow strip of land, an isthmus, connects it to the mainland. Water surrounds the headland almost completely. Coila Lake is to the north, and Tuross Lake and the Tuross River are to the south.
