Tuscola Township is a local government area in Tuscola County, Michigan. It is part of the United States. In 2020, about 1,978 people lived here.
The city of Vassar is located to the northeast of Tuscola Township. Vassar includes some land that was originally part of this township.

History of Tuscola Township
Tuscola Township was created in 1840. At first, it was part of Saginaw County. On April 1, 1840, the Michigan Legislature made Tuscola County its own area. This new county was formed from land in Sanilac County. For a while, it was still managed by Saginaw County.
Communities in Tuscola Township
- Tuscola is a small, unnamed community within the Township. It is located near the Cass River. A post office called "Worth" opened here on March 6, 1848. Ebenezer Davis was the first postmaster. The name changed to Tuscola on January 8, 1875. This post office served the area until January 5, 1962. The community was officially mapped out in 1850. More parts were added in 1861 and 1868. Today, the Vassar post office handles mail for this area.
