Tyburn includes several housing areas. These are places where many homes are built together. Some of these areas are Birches Green, Pype Hayes, and Castle Vale. There is also Erdington Hall, which is another residential spot.
Modernizing Tyburn's Neighborhoods
Many changes have happened in the housing areas of Pype Hayes and Castle Vale. Old homes in Pype Hayes were taken down. New, modern houses were built in their place by Birmingham City Council.
Castle Vale had one of Europe's biggest urban renewal projects. This means they made huge improvements to the area. Many tall apartment buildings were removed. New shops and modern semi-detached houses were built. This big project was managed by the Housing Action Trust, which started in 1993.
Industrial Areas and New Roads
The Bromford industrial area was once part of the old Kingsbury Ward. Most of it is now in the new Tyburn Ward. This area has also seen new developments. A shopping center called the Fort Shopping Centre was built. A new road, the Heartlands Spine Road, was also created. This road connects the A47 Nechells to the A47 Chester Road.
