Tyson Marcus Miller (born July 29, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher. He currently plays for the Chicago Cubs in Major League Baseball (MLB). He has also played for several other MLB teams, including the Texas Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and Seattle Mariners.

Baseball Journey
Starting Out
Tyson Miller went to Shadow Hills High School in Indio, California. In his final year, 2013, he was a fantastic pitcher. He won six games and didn't lose any, with a very low earned run average (ERA) of 0.19.
Even with his great high school record, he wasn't chosen in the 2013 MLB draft. So, he decided to go to California Baptist University to play college baseball.
In 2014, his first year in college, he won seven games and lost one. The next year, he continued to play well, earning a spot on the Pacific West Conference Second Team. After his second year, he played summer baseball with the Brewster Whitecaps. In 2017, his junior year, he had another strong season, winning nine games. He was named to the PacWest First Team.
Joining the Chicago Cubs
After his college career, the Chicago Cubs picked Tyson Miller in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB draft. He signed with the Cubs and began his professional journey.
He started in the minor leagues, playing for teams like the Arizona League Cubs and Eugene Emeralds. In 2017, he played for the South Bend Cubs, and in 2018, he was with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. He kept working his way up through the Cubs' minor league system.
By 2019, Miller was playing for the Tennessee Smokies and later moved up to the Iowa Cubs. He pitched well, striking out many batters. Because of his good performance, the Cubs added him to their main team roster.
On August 17, 2020, Tyson Miller made his big league debut with the Chicago Cubs. He pitched in two games that season.
Moving Around the League
After his first time with the Cubs, Tyson Miller moved to a few different teams.
- Texas Rangers: In 2021, he joined the Texas Rangers. He got his first career win with them in 2022, pitching well against the Seattle Mariners.
- Milwaukee Brewers: In 2022, the Milwaukee Brewers picked him up. He played in a few games for them in 2023.
- Los Angeles Dodgers: He then moved to the Los Angeles Dodgers in July 2023. He pitched in one game for them.
- New York Mets: Shortly after, he was claimed by the New York Mets. He made one appearance for the Mets, pitching two scoreless innings.
- Los Angeles Dodgers (again): He returned to the Dodgers briefly in August 2023, pitching in one more game for them.
Back to the Cubs
In November 2023, Miller signed a contract with the Seattle Mariners. He played in a few games for them in early 2024.
Then, on May 13, 2024, the Mariners traded Tyson Miller back to the Chicago Cubs. This marked his second time playing for the team that first drafted him.
