Undersea Adventure is a fun computer program from 1993. It was made by a company called Knowledge Adventure. This program helps you learn all about the ocean and its amazing creatures. It's a type of educational software, meaning it's designed to teach you things while you play.
Exploring the Ocean World
This computer program works like an interactive encyclopedia. An encyclopedia is a book or program full of facts and information. Being "interactive" means you can click around and explore things yourself.
You can learn about many different oceans and the amazing species (types of animals and plants) that live in them. The program also includes a short story about the famous ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau. He was a very important person who helped us learn a lot about the underwater world.
The main part of the program is called the Undersea Reference. It's like a huge digital book about the ocean. It has lots of pictures and information from real books, such as the Atlas of the Oceans by Mitchell Beazley and books from National Geographic.
A Look Back at History
Undersea Adventure was often sold together with new computers back in the 1990s. You might have found it bundled with Packard Bell and IBM Aptiva PCs.
When you bought the program, it even came with a pair of special 3D glasses! It was often sold in a package with other fun programs like Space Adventure and Imax's Speed. It also included a demo (a small sample) of other adventure games from Knowledge Adventure. These bundles usually came with computers running Windows 3.1 and MS-DOS 6.22.
Finding it Again Online
Years later, on November 25, 2014, five popular Knowledge Adventure games were made available again. They were re-released online on a website called ZOOM-Platform.com. This means you could download and play them without special copy protection.
Undersea Adventure was one of these five games. The others were 3D Body Adventure, 3D Dinosaur Adventure, the original Dinosaur Adventure, and Space Adventure. This happened because of a partnership between JumpStart and the Jordan Freeman Group. More old Knowledge Adventure games are expected to be added to ZOOM-Platform.com in the future.
