Vacy is a small place, or locality, in the Dungog Shire area of New South Wales, Australia. It's part of the beautiful Hunter Region. Vacy is located between the towns of Gresford and Paterson.

The village of Vacy was started in the 1820s by John Cory. He owned a large piece of land and decided to create a private town there. Vacy grew bigger in the 1850s and was a busy place by the 1870s. It stayed a private town until the Cory family sold it in 1927. The village is found where the Paterson and Allyn rivers meet. In 2011, Vacy had 547 people living there.
