VeggieWorld is a series of exciting annual festivals. These events celebrate a vegan lifestyle, focusing on plant-based food and animal-friendly clothing. VeggieWorld festivals happen in many cities across Europe and Asia.
It's one of the largest vegan and vegetarian festivals in the world. On average, about 8,000 people visit each event. The very first VeggieWorld festival took place in Wiesbaden, Germany, in 2011. It was started by an organization called ProVeg Deutschland.

A Look at Past VeggieWorld Events
Many VeggieWorld events have been held over the years, growing bigger and more popular.
VeggieWorld in Wiesbaden
The city of Wiesbaden hosted VeggieWorld ten times, from 2011 to 2020. The last event there welcomed 13,000 visitors! The next festival for this region is planned for 2021 in Frankfurt.
VeggieWorld in Berlin
VeggieWorld Berlin started in 2015 with 55 different stands. By 2019, it had grown to 130 stands, offering even more to explore. In 2019, about 10,000 people visited the Berlin festival.
VeggieWorld in Utrecht
In the Netherlands, VeggieWorld Utrecht has been organized since 2016. The first event was a huge success, with over 7,600 visitors. This made it the largest vegan fair in the Netherlands at the time. The 2020 event saw even more people, with 9,000 visitors attending.
VeggieWorld in Paris and Lyon
The 2019 VeggieWorld Paris was the seventh time this festival took place in the city. Over 8,000 visitors came, which was 14% more than the year before! In Lyon, the third VeggieWorld festival was held in 2019.
