Vicovu de Sus is a town in northern Suceava County. It is located in Romania, right on the border with Ukraine. This town is part of a historical area called Bukovina.
History of Vicovu de Sus
Vicovu de Sus has a long and interesting history. In the year 1466, a famous ruler named Stephen the Great bought the land. He then gave it to the Putna Monastery.
For many years, Vicovu de Sus was a rural village. But in 2004, it officially became a town. This change meant it had a new status.
