Victoria is a special neighborhood, called a barrio, located in the town of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 1,790 people lived there. Victoria is part of the main city area of Aguadilla.

History of Victoria Barrio

In the 1800s, a lot of sugar cane was grown in Victoria. This was an important crop for the area.

After the Spanish–American War, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This happened because of a peace agreement called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. Puerto Rico then became a territory of the United States.

In 1899, the United States government counted everyone living in Puerto Rico. This count is called a census. The census found that 716 people lived in Victoria barrio at that time.
