Vine Grove is found in the northern part of Hardin County. It's right next to the city of Radcliff on its east side. To the northwest, it borders Meade County.

Vine Grove is about 11 miles (18 km) southeast of Elizabethtown, which is the main city of Hardin County. If you travel about 18 miles (29 km) northwest, you'll reach Brandenburg on the Ohio River. Fort Knox, a well-known military base, is only 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Vine Grove, just past Radcliff.
Land and Water Features
Vine Grove covers a total area of about 6.9 square miles (17.97 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with only a small part (about 0.07 square miles or 0.19 square kilometers) being water. The city has a stream called Brushy Fork, which flows west into Otter Creek. Otter Creek then flows north along the western edge of Vine Grove and eventually joins the Ohio River.
