Vita's Early Life and Music Journey

Growing Up and Starting Music

Vita Chambers was born in Vancouver, Canada. She later moved to Barbados, where she spent her childhood. When she was 15, Vita started her music career. She shared four of her own songs on her MySpace page. This helped her get noticed.

Signing a Record Deal

When Vita turned 16, she signed a record deal. Sylvia Rhone from Universal Motown Records signed her. This was a big step for her music career.

Early Performances and Tours

In November 2009, Vita performed at the Thanksgiving Day NFL half-time show. She sang her song "Heat Wave." In March 2010, her first single, "Young Money," was released. Her EP (Extended Play) called "The Get Go" also came out that March. It had five songs available on iTunes.

When she was 17, Vita toured with another Canadian singer, Justin Bieber. She was one of the opening acts for his My World Tour in 2010. She also performed at other big music events. These included Lilith Fair and the Bamboozle Road Show. She also toured with the band Forever The Sickest Kids. In 2010, she performed with Estelle at the Soul Train Awards in Atlanta.

Becoming an Independent Artist

Vita Chambers later became an independent artist. This means she manages her own music through her company, Gold Note Productions. On December 18, 2012, she released her single "Fix You." This song was nominated for Best Dance Record at the 2013 Juno Awards. Within three months, "Fix You" reached the Top 40 in Canada.

The song was very successful. Vita was also the #4 Emerging artist on the Canadian Hot 100 Billboard chart. "Fix You" stayed in the top 100 for over 20 weeks. It earned Gold status in Canada. So far, it has sold more than 350,000 copies around the world.

New Music and Nominations

Later in 2013, Vita released her second single, "What If?". This was also under Gold Note Productions Ltd. In 2014, Vita received two nominations at the Canadian Music Radio Awards. She was nominated for Best New Group or Solo Artist CHR and Best New Group or Solo Artist Dance/Urban/Rhythmic.

On April 21, 2014, Vita released a new single called "A+D." The lyrics of this song shared Vita's strong belief. She believes that everyone has good inside them. This is true even with outside influences. She also released a song for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It was called "El Camino." Mike Solo produced it, and it featured a chorus of eight kids.

In February 2015, Vita released "Kings Of Love." A music video directed by Jimmy Keegan came with it. Since then, Vita has released several other songs. These include "His Love," "A+D Orchestral," "Tell Me," "Ferrous," and "Want You." These songs were released in 2016.
