William Morgan Sheppard (born August 24, 1932 – died January 6, 2019) was a talented actor from England. He acted in more than 100 movies and TV shows during his career, which lasted over 50 years!

Early Life and Stage Acting
Morgan Sheppard studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He graduated in 1958. After that, he worked for 12 years with the famous Royal Shakespeare Company.
Broadway Performances
Sheppard also performed on Broadway, which is a big theater area in New York City. He was in plays like Marat/Sade in 1966. Later, in 1975, he appeared in a play called Sherlock Holmes. He even won an award in Los Angeles for his acting in The Homecoming in 1995.
Movies and TV Shows
Morgan Sheppard was known for his many roles in science fiction. He appeared in several Star Trek shows and movies.
Star Trek Roles
In The Next Generation, he played Dr. Ira Graves in an episode called "The Schizoid Man". He was also in Voyager as Qatai in the episode "Bliss".
Sheppard also acted in Star Trek movies. He was the warden of a Klingon prison in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. In the 2009 movie Star Trek, he played a member of the Vulcan High Council.
Other Famous Roles
Outside of Star Trek, he was well-known for playing Blank Reg in the TV series Max Headroom. He also played Confederate General Isaac R. Trimble in the historical films Gettysburg and Gods and Generals.
Sheppard also appeared in the science-fiction series Babylon 5. He played two different characters: the Soul Hunter and a Narn war leader named G'Sten.
Voice Acting in Cartoons
Morgan Sheppard lent his voice to many animated shows. He was one of several Star Trek actors who voiced characters in the cartoon series Gargoyles. In this show, he voiced the father of David Xanatos and the Norse god Odin.
He also voiced Santa Claus in Disney's Christmas special Prep & Landing in 2009. He returned to voice Santa in the sequels, Prep & Landing: Operation: Secret Santa and Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice.
Acting with His Son
Morgan Sheppard acted alongside his son, Mark Sheppard, in a few productions. In the TV series NCIS, he played an older version of a character named Marcin Jerek, while his son played the younger version.
They also appeared together in Doctor Who. In the episode "The Impossible Astronaut", Morgan Sheppard played an older Canton Everett Delaware III, and his son played the younger version. It's cool that both father and son acted in both Star Trek and Doctor Who!
Video Game Voice Work
Morgan Sheppard also used his voice talents in many video games.
Narrator and Characters
He was the narrator for the introductions and mission briefings in the first four Medal of Honor games. In the 1996 adventure game Zork Nemesis, he played Bishop Francois Malveaux.
He voiced Ignatius Cheese in Escape from Monkey Island (2000) and Lucky in Whacked! (2002). He also voiced John Adams in the Wii game The Conduit. In 2010, he became the narrator for the video game Civilization V, providing voices for loading screens and new technologies.
Personal Life
Morgan Sheppard was married to Regina Lisa Scherer. They had a son, Mark Sheppard, who also became an actor. Morgan Sheppard passed away on January 6, 2019, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 86.
