Wabasso (pronounced wah-BASS-oh) is a small city located in Redwood County, Minnesota, in the United States. In 2020, about 739 people lived there.

History of Wabasso
Wabasso was first planned out in 1889. This means its streets and building lots were officially mapped. The name Wabasso comes from the Ojibwe word waabooz. This word means "snowshoe hare" or simply "rabbit."
The city officially became a city in 1900. A post office has been open in Wabasso since 1900, helping people send and receive mail.

In 2018, the Wabasso Knowledge Bowl team reached the State Competition. They were nicknamed the "Killer Rabbits of Caerbannog." This name is a fun reference to a character from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It was a big achievement for them to compete at the state level!
