Waverly is a city in Lafayette County, Missouri, in the United States. It is part of the larger Kansas City metropolitan area. In 2020, about 784 people lived there.
Waverly is home to the Baltimore Bend Winery. This is one of many small wineries that have started in Missouri since the 1960s. The Waverly Bridge crosses the Missouri River nearby.
A famous person from Waverly was General Jo Shelby. He was a hemp farmer who joined the Confederate side in 1861 during the American Civil War.

History of Waverly
Waverly was started in the 1840s. The town got its name from Waverly, Illinois. This was the hometown of one of the first people to settle here. A post office has been open in Waverly since 1854.
The Napoleon Buck House is a historic building in Waverly. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. This means it is a special place worth protecting.
