"We Rock" is a popular song from the 2008 Disney Channel movie Camp Rock. It was the first official single released from the movie's soundtrack. The song first played on Radio Disney on April 19, 2008. Later, it became available on the iTunes Store on June 3, 2008.

The song was written by Kara DioGuardi and Greg Wells. Greg Wells also produced the song. Many of the Camp Rock cast members sang in "We Rock". These included Demi Lovato, Aaryn Doyle, Renee Sandstrom, Anna Maria Perez de Taglé, Roshon Fegan, Jordan Francis, Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas (from the Jonas Brothers), Alyson Stoner, and Meaghan Martin. Kara DioGuardi also sang background vocals.

Releasing the Song

A short preview of "We Rock" was shown on Disney Channel on New Year's Eve in 2007. Disney officially released the full song on April 19, 2008.

Disney also created a special CD single called Exclusive Camp Rock Fan Pack. This was sold only at Target stores starting May 20, 2008. Target also sold other Camp Rock items like books, posters, and clothes. The Exclusive Camp Rock Fan Pack CD included:

• An instrumental (music only) version of the song
• The music video
• A mini-poster
• A ringtone

On June 3, 2008, "We Rock" became available on iTunes in two new versions. One version included the song and an interview from Radio Disney. The other version had the music video and a Radio Disney interview with the Jonas Brothers.

The main music video for "We Rock" first aired on Disney Channel on April 19, 2008. This video is a part of the movie itself. It shows the cast of Camp Rock performing a shorter version of the song.

"Around the World" Video

On May 18, 2008, Disney Channel showed a new music video called "We Rock - Around the World". This video featured other Disney Channel stars from different countries. Some of these stars included Selena Gomez, Jason Dolley, and Mitchel Musso. It also showed fans holding banners and doing a special dance move from the song. This "Around the World" video was also included on the Camp Rock DVD.

The Camp Rock DVD also had two other music videos for the song.

• The first video was called the "Cast Video". It showed the Camp Rock cast dancing and performing on the movie set. It included scenes from the movie's finale.
