Alyson Rae Stoner (born August 11, 1993) is an American actor, singer, and dancer. They are known for their roles in movies like Cheaper by the Dozen (2003) and the Step Up movie series (2006–2014). On TV, they hosted Disney Channel's Mike's Super Short Show (2001–2007). They also played Max in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005–2007). Alyson voiced Isabella Garcia-Shapiro in Phineas and Ferb (2007–2015). They also starred as Caitlyn in Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010).
Stoner has danced for famous artists such as Missy Elliott and Eminem. They also lent their voice to the Kingdom Hearts video game series (2008–2020). They also voiced characters in the Holly Hobbie & Friends animated TV specials (2006–2008). Alyson has released many songs and two extended play albums.

Early life and beginnings
Alyson Stoner was born in Toledo, Ohio. Their mother, LuAnne Hodges, was a secretary. Their father is Charlie Stoner. While growing up, Alyson went to Maumee Valley Country Day School. They also studied ballet, tap dance, and jazz dance at O'Connell's Dance Studio.
They also worked as a model and trained at the Margaret O'Brien Modeling Studio. In 2000, they won Best Model of the Year. This award was given at a big modeling and talent event in New York City.
Acting career highlights
Early TV and movie roles
In 2001, Alyson became a co-host for the Disney Channel show Mike's Super Short Show. This show shared information about upcoming Disney movies. In 2003 and 2005, they played Sarah Baker in the popular comedies Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. Sarah was one of the twelve Baker children.
Alyson also appeared in several TV shows for younger audiences. These included The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, That's So Raven, and Drake & Josh.
Voice acting and Disney roles
In 2006, Alyson had a small role in the movie Step Up. They played Camille, the younger foster sister of Channing Tatum's character. From 2007 to 2015, they voiced Isabella Garcia-Shapiro in the Disney Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. They also voiced Jenny in the same show until Season 4.
In 2008, Alyson starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. They played Caitlyn Gellar, a character who wanted to be a music producer. People really liked their performance in Camp Rock. Many thought it was time for them to play a main character. They had previously been a backup for big stars like Will Smith and Eminem. Alyson also starred as Alice McKinley in the movie Alice Upside Down. This movie was based on the Alice book series. This was their first role where they appeared in every scene of a film.
Later film and TV projects
In 2010, Alyson returned for the third Step Up movie, Step Up 3D. They played Camille again, alongside Adam Sevani. They also posted a video of their final dance rehearsal for the movie on their YouTube page. In the same year, Alyson returned as Caitlyn Gellar in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. This was the sequel to Camp Rock. Alyson also guest-starred in the TV drama series House as a skater.
They also appeared in Wii Fit videos on the Nintendo Channel. These videos showed balance exercises for the Wii game console. Alyson replaced Hayden Panettiere as the voice of Kairi in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. They also voiced Xion in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. They voiced both characters in Kingdom Hearts III. Alyson also voiced the character Opal in seasons three and four of The Legend of Korra.
Music and dance career
Singing and EPs
In 2008, Alyson sang two songs, "Lost and Found" and "Free Spirit." These songs were from the soundtrack of Alice Upside Down, where they played the main role. They also recorded a cover of the song Dancing in the Moonlight for the 2009 movie Space Buddies.
On April 4, 2010, Alyson announced on their YouTube Channel that their first song, "Flying Forward", would be released on April 20, 2010. Alyson released their first EP (Extended Play) called Beat the System in 2011. In 2011, Alyson also started working with record producers and songwriters. They wanted to change their singing style from "kiddie-pop" to a more soulful pop sound.
Dancing achievements
After training in Los Angeles, Alyson appeared as a backup dancer in many music videos. These included Missy Elliott's "Work It" and "Gossip Folks". They also danced in Eminem's "Just Lose It" video. They were a backup dancer for Outkast at the 2004 Kids' Choice Awards. They also danced for Will Smith at the 2005 show.
Alyson danced with a group called The JammX Kids from 2003 to 2006. They left the group in 2006 because of their busy schedule. However, they continued to work with the individual dancers on other projects. They were also one of the dancers in the special features for the Shark Tale DVD.
Alyson teaches hip hop classes at the Millennium Dance Complex. They are the youngest person to teach a master class there. They also appeared in Debby Ryan's "We Got the Beat" for Disney Channel's Radio Rebel. In February 2015, they released a dance tribute video to Missy Elliott. It featured a mashup of Missy Elliott videos they had danced in when they were younger. This video received over 12 million views in its first week. Missy Elliott later invited Alyson to perform "Work It" with her at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards.
Publishing and projects
Alyson Stoner was the "dance editor" for KEWL Magazine. In February 2009, Alyson released The Alyson Stoner Project. This was a dance video that combined many styles of entertainment. It was directed by Kevin Schmidt, who was their co-star from Cheaper by the Dozen.
