Wenden is a small place in La Paz County, Arizona, United States. It is called an unincorporated community. This means it is not officially a city or town with its own local government. It is also a census-designated place (CDP), which is a special area the government uses for counting people. In 2020, about 458 people lived in Wenden.

History of Wenden
Wenden has faced big floods in the past. These were called "100-year floods" because they were very rare and powerful. They happened when a lot of rain fell, causing the Centennial Wash to overflow.
During these floods, in 2000 and 2010, people living in Wenden had to move to higher ground. They went to the nearby town of Salome to stay safe.
Geography of Wenden
Wenden is located in the eastern part of La Paz County. A main road, U.S. Route 60, goes right through the community.
If you drive northeast on Route 60, you will reach Wickenburg in about 48 miles. If you drive southwest, you will get to Interstate 10 in about 30 miles. This interstate is between the towns of Brenda and Quartzsite.
The total area of Wenden is about 14.94 square miles (38.7 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
