Wendie Malick (born December 13, 1950) is an American actress and former fashion model. She is famous for her roles in many TV comedies. You might know her as Judith Tupper Stone in the HBO show Dream On. She also played Nina Van Horn in the NBC show Just Shoot Me!. For this role, she was nominated for two Primetime Emmy awards and a Golden Globe Award.
Malick also starred as Victoria Chase in the TV Land comedy series Hot in Cleveland. She had a recurring role as Gayle Buchannon on Baywatch. Later, she played Ronee Lawrence on the final season of Frasier. Her movie roles include Scrooged, The American President, and Racing Stripes. She has appeared in over 50 TV shows, mostly comedies. She has also voiced characters in animated series like Beatrice Horseman on BoJack Horseman and Eda Clawthorne on The Owl House.

Early Life and Education
Wendie Malick was born on December 13, 1950, in Buffalo, New York. Her mother, Gigi, used to be a model. Her father, Kenneth Malick, worked in sales. Her family background includes Egyptian, French, German, and English roots. Her grandfather, Ayad Malick, was from an Egyptian Coptic Christian family.
She finished high school at Williamsville South High School in 1968. Later, she studied performing arts at the William Esper Studio in Manhattan, New York City.
Acting Career Highlights
Starting Out in Show Business
After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1972, Malick started her career as a fashion model. She worked for the Wilhelmina modeling agency. She then decided to pursue acting on stage and screen. In 1983, she became a regular on the ABC medical drama Trauma Center. The show lasted for one season. In the late 1980s, Malick began appearing in TV comedies. She had a recurring role on Kate & Allie. She also played a supporting role in the 1988 film Scrooged.
Success with Dream On and Just Shoot Me!
In 1990, Malick was cast in the HBO comedy series Dream On. She played Judith Tupper Stone, the ex-wife of the main character. She stayed on the show until it ended in 1996. During this time, she won four CableACE Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. While on Dream On, Malick also appeared in other TV shows. These included dramas like NYPD Blue and comedies like Seinfeld.
In 1997, she began starring as Nina Van Horn on the NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me!. Nina was a funny, former supermodel. Malick played this role until the show finished in 2003. From 2005 to 2006, Malick starred in the ABC comedy series Jake in Progress. She also voiced characters in animated shows like The X's and Bratz. In movies, she appeared in Racing Stripes (2005) and Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009).
In 2010, Malick was cast as Victoria Chase in the TV Land comedy series Hot in Cleveland. She starred alongside Jane Leeves, Valerie Bertinelli, and Betty White. The show was very popular and received good reviews. In 2012, the cast of Hot in Cleveland was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. The show ran for six seasons, ending in 2015.

Personal Life
Wendie Malick has been married twice. She was married to actor and screenwriter Mitch Glazer from 1982 to 1989. Since 1995, she has been married to Richard Erickson. They live in Topanga, California. Malick is a pescetarian, meaning she eats fish but no other meat. She supports Democratic political causes.
