West Almond is a small town located in Allegany County, New York, United States. In 2020, about 280 people lived there. West Almond is in the eastern part of Allegany County, to the west of a city called Hornell.

History of West Almond
People first started settling in the West Almond area around 1816. The town of West Almond was officially created in 1835. It was formed using parts of three nearby towns: Almond, Alfred, and Angelica.
The historic West Almond Churches were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. This means they are important buildings that are protected because of their history.
Where is West Almond?
West Almond covers a total area of about 93.5 square kilometers (about 36.1 square miles). Most of this area is land, with a very small amount being water.
A major highway, the Southern Tier Expressway, runs right through the middle of the town. This road is also known as Interstate 86 and New York State Route 17.

- West Almond – This is the main hamlet or village area of West Almond. You can find it on County Road 2 in the eastern part of the town.
