The Wolseley River is a river located in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. This river flows through two important areas: the Sudbury District and the Nipissing District. It's a part of the larger Lake Huron drainage basin, which means its waters eventually flow into Lake Huron.

Where the Wolseley River Starts and Ends

The Wolseley River begins its journey in a small, unnamed lake. This lake is found in a place called Servos Township, which is in the northern part of the Sudbury District. From its start, the river flows through the area known as the municipality of French River.

After flowing through the French River municipality, the Wolseley River continues for about 4 kilometers (about 2.5 miles). It then enters the municipality of West Nipissing in the Nipissing District. The river's journey ends when it reaches Wolseley Bay, which is a part of the French River. The community of Wolseley Bay is right next to where the river joins the larger French River.

River's Path and Connections

The Wolseley River is an important part of the local water system. It connects different areas and contributes water to the larger French River. The French River itself is a well-known waterway in Ontario.

Tributaries

A tributary is a smaller stream or river that flows into a larger river. The Wolseley River has one main tributary that flows into it.
