Woodland Lake, also known as Woodland Reservoir, is a beautiful spot located in the town of Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona. Many people call it the "Crown Jewel" of the town because it's so important for fun outdoor activities. The lake is part of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests and is a great place for fishing and other adventures.
About Woodland Lake
Woodland Lake sits high up at about 6,893 feet (2,101 m) above sea level. When it's completely full, the lake covers an area of 18 acres (7.3 ha). At its deepest point, it goes down 20 feet (6.1 m).
The lake is used to help water local farms and gardens. This means its water level can go down sometimes. When the water level is lower, the lake is about 10 acres (4.0 ha) in size.
Because the lake is shallow and has a lot of nutrients, the water quality can sometimes be tricky in the summer. To make sure there are always fish for people to catch, the lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout in the spring and early summer. You might also find a few largemouth bass and channel catfish swimming around.
