Woods Cross is a city located in Davis County, Utah, in the United States. It is part of the larger Ogden–Clearfield metropolitan area. In 2010, about 9,761 people lived there. By 2019, the population was estimated to be around 11,431.

History of Woods Cross
Woods Cross is named after an important early settler named Daniel Wood. He was born in New York in 1800 and later became a Mormon pioneer. Pioneers were people who helped settle new areas in the western United States. Daniel Wood passed away in Woods Cross in 1892.
Geography and Weather
Woods Cross is in the southeastern part of Davis County. It is next to West Bountiful to the north, Bountiful to the east, and North Salt Lake to the south. The city sits along the Wasatch Front, which is near the Wasatch Mountain Range.
The city gets its water from mountain springs and snow that melts from the Wasatch Mountains. The weather changes a lot during the year. Summers are very hot, and winters are mildly cold. Spring and fall are usually very pleasant. Most of the rain and snow falls in winter and spring. Woods Cross covers an area of about 3.9 square miles (10.0 km2), and it's all land.
