Air Company Yakutia is an airline from Yakutsk, Russia. It helps people travel by plane to many places. These include cities across Russia, countries near Russia, and even some places in Europe, Asia, and North America. The airline's main bases are Yakutsk Airport and Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow.
The airline started in 2002. It is owned by the government of the Sakha Republic. In 2020, Yakutia Airlines joined four other airlines. They became part of a bigger airline group for Russia's far-eastern region.
As of February 2025, Yakutia Airlines is on a list of airlines. These airlines are not allowed to fly into the European Union.

History of Yakutia Airlines
How the Airline Started
Yakutia Airlines began as Sakha Avia. This was once the Yakutsk part of a very old airline called Aeroflot. It was also known as Yakutaviatrans before that.
In its early days, the airline flew cargo planes. They carried goods to places in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The airline faced some money problems in 1999. But it started flying again in 2000.
Becoming Yakutia Air Company
The local government took control of the airline. In 2002, Sakha Avia joined with another airline called Yakutavia. After they merged, they changed their name. That is how they became "Yakutia Air Company."

Future Plans for Airplanes
At the 2019 MAKS Air Show in Moscow, Yakutia Airlines made a plan. They agreed to get 5 new MC-21 airplanes. These new planes were first expected to arrive in the second half of 2021.

Important Events and Incidents
Sometimes, things happen during flights that are not planned. Here are two notable events involving Yakutia Airlines.
Flight 425 in 2010
On February 4, 2010, Flight 425 had a problem. An Antonov An-24 plane had an engine issue during takeoff from Yakutsk Airport. The pilots landed the plane safely. The front and side landing gears folded up. This caused a lot of damage to the plane. Luckily, no one was hurt. The plane was later fixed and used again.
Flight 414 in 2018
On October 10, 2018, Flight 414 had an incident. A Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane went off the runway when landing at Yakutsk Airport. It was arriving from Baikal International Airport. The main landing gear of the plane broke. Four people needed to go to the hospital for checks. The plane was too damaged to be fixed.
