Yolande Moreau was born on February 27, 1953, in Brussels, Belgium. She is a talented Belgian comedian, actress, film director, and screenwriter. She has won three César Awards, which are very important film awards in France.

Yolande Moreau started her film career with director Agnès Varda. She appeared in movies like Sept pièces (1984) and Vagabond (1985).
Becoming a TV Star
In 1989, she joined a theater group led by Jérôme Deschamps and Macha Makeieff. She became very well-known from their TV show, Les Deschiens.
Famous Movie Roles
Yolande Moreau has played many memorable characters in films. She was La Levaque in Germinal (1993). She also played a friendly concierge in the popular film Amélie (2001). Later, she was Mama Chow in Micmacs (2009). Both Amélie and Micmacs were directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. She also appeared as a mime in Paris, Je T'aime (2006).
