Yorkville is a small village located in Oneida County, New York, in the United States. In 2020, about 2,657 people lived there. Yorkville is found in the southeastern part of a town called Whitestown. It is also very close to the city of Utica.

History of Yorkville
Yorkville started as a home for people who worked in the textile factories nearby. These factories were in a place called New York Mills. The village officially became its own village in 1902.

Economy of Yorkville
In the past, many jobs in Yorkville were in manufacturing. This means making things in factories. However, over time, most of these jobs have left the area.
For example, a company called Hyosung USA used to have a large factory in Yorkville. This factory made strong fabric linings. It was built in 1908 and was once a Goodyear plant. Hyosung bought the plant in 2008 but closed it in 2013, causing 85 people to lose their jobs.
Today, most jobs in Yorkville are in other areas. Many people work in service jobs, education, or healthcare. Nearby places like St. Luke's Memorial Hospital and Utica College provide many of these jobs.
