Zhu Zhu (Chinese: 朱珠; pinyin: Zhū Zhū; born on July 19, 1984) is a talented Chinese actress and singer. She became well-known as a VJ (video jockey) on MTV China, where she hosted music shows.

Early Life and Education
Zhu Zhu was born in Beijing, China, on July 19, 1984. Her family has a background in the military. Her grandfather, Zhu Xuzhi, was a major general in the People's Liberation Army.
Zhu started learning to play the piano when she was just three years old. In junior high school, she performed in an English play called Beauty and the Beast.
She later attended Beijing Technology and Business University. There, she studied electronics and information engineering.
Personal Life
On March 18, 2021, Zhu Zhu married Wang Yunjia. He is a lecturer at Tsinghua University's Fine Art Department.
They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Pearl, on September 2, 2021.
Career Highlights
Starting in Music and TV
In 2005, Zhu Zhu joined MTV China. She hosted many music programs on the network. She was discovered by talent scouts after winning a local singing contest in Beijing. She then placed third in the national competition.
In 2007, Zhu signed with the music company MBOX. Her first music album was released in 2009.
Moving into Films
Zhu made her first film appearance in 2010. It was in What Women Want, a Chinese romantic comedy. She acted alongside famous stars like Andy Lau and Gong Li.
In 2012, Zhu played the character Chi Chi in an American martial arts film. This movie was called The Man with the Iron Fists. She worked with actors such as RZA and Russell Crowe.
That same year, Zhu appeared in several other films. These included Shanghai Calling, Secret Sharer, and Cloud Atlas.
Television Roles and International Projects
In 2014, Zhu had a supporting role in the romantic comedy film The Old Cinderella.
She also played the main female character in the film Last Flight. In this movie, she starred with Ed Westwick.
In December 2014, Zhu began starring in the American TV series Marco Polo. This show premiered on Netflix.
In 2016, Zhu joined the cast of a Bollywood historical war drama film. The movie was called Tubelight. She acted opposite Salman Khan. This was her first time working in Bollywood. She even traveled to Mumbai to learn Hindi for the role.
