Éric Deslauriers was born on March 21, 1981. He is a Canadian football expert. He currently works as the Senior Director of Player Personnel for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. This team plays in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Before his current role, Deslauriers was a professional football player. He played as a slotback for nine years. His entire playing career was with the Montreal Alouettes. During his time as a player, he helped the Alouettes win two Grey Cup championships. He also played college football at Eastern Michigan University.

Early Life and High School Football
Éric Deslauriers was born in Gatineau, Quebec. He attended Champlain College in Sherbrooke during the 2000–01 season. There, he became the starting quarterback for the Cougar team.
In that season, he ran for 232 yards and scored three touchdowns. He also completed 77 passes for 1,347 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was recognized as a top player, earning a first-team all-star award as a quarterback.
College Football Career
In 2002, Deslauriers received a full scholarship to play football. He went to Eastern Michigan University, which is part of the NCAA's Division 1 Mid-American Conference. Even though he had always played quarterback, the coaches saw his athletic talent. They decided to move him to the wide receiver position. This was because the team already had many quarterbacks.
Deslauriers took a year off from playing in 2002. He then became a very strong player in the 2004 season. That year, he caught 84 passes for 1,257 yards. He also set a new record for Eastern Michigan with 13 touchdown catches. He was named the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) for that season.
Deslauriers finished his studies at Eastern Michigan University. He earned a degree in Communications. He ended his college football career as the Eagles' all-time leader in several areas. He had 27 touchdown receptions, 3,250 total receiving yards, and 248 catches.
He also shares the school record for most touchdowns in a single game, with four. On November 6, 2004, he tied a school record by scoring 26 points in one game. He had 14 games where he gained over 100 yards receiving. His best game was on October 9, 2004, when he had 209 receiving yards against Ball State. Deslauriers played for four seasons, from 2003 to 2006. He is ranked fifth in Mid-American Conference history for receptions and eighth for receiving yards. He also had an amazing streak of 35 games where he caught at least one pass.
Professional Football Career
After trying out for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League, Deslauriers signed a four-year contract. He joined the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. The Alouettes chose him as the seventh overall pick in the 2006 CFL Draft.
In his first year, 2007, he had limited playing time. He still managed to catch 23 passes for 325 yards and one touchdown. Throughout his career, he played in 115 regular season games. He finished with 99 catches for 1,334 yards and three touchdowns.
Working in Football Management
Éric Deslauriers stopped playing football in February 2016. However, he stayed with the Alouettes team. He worked as a football operations assistant and a scout. A scout helps find new players for the team.
On July 18, 2019, he was promoted to Player Personnel Coordinator. This happened shortly after the team's general manager left. After the 2019 Montreal Alouettes season, he was promoted again. On December 18, 2019, he became the Director of Football Operations for the Alouettes.
On January 10, 2025, it was announced that Deslauriers had joined a new team. He became the Senior Director of Player Personnel for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
