  • General Sir Arthur Power Palmer, the Commander-in-Chief in India, received this highest rank.
  • Maharao Sir Kesri Singh Bahadur, a ruler from Rajputana, was also honoured.

Knights Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire (KCIE)

  • James George Scott, a Deputy Commissioner in Burma, became a Knight Commander.
  • Raja Jang Bahadur Khan, a ruler from Oudh, also received this honour.

Companion of the Order of the Indian Empire (CIE)

  • Murray Hammick and William Stevenson Meyer, both from the Indian Civil Service, became Companions.
  • Diwan Bahadur Kanchi Krishnaswami Rao, a high official in the Travancore State, was also recognized.

Kaisar-i-Hind Medal

The Kaisar-i-Hind Medal was awarded for public service in India. "Kaisar-i-Hind" means "Empress of India."

  • Sardar Khan Bahadur Mir Abdul Ali, a Justice of the Peace in Bombay, received this medal.
  • Shankar Madhav Chitnavis, a Deputy-Commissioner, was also honoured.
