The 2019 Australian federal election was held on May 18, 2019. Australians voted for members of the 46th Parliament of Australia. This election happened because the previous Parliament, elected in 2016, had finished its term.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his Coalition Party won the election. They secured 78 seats. The Labor Party, led by Bill Shorten, won 67 seats. This meant the Coalition continued to lead the country.

Senate Results

- The Liberal/National Coalition won 13 seats in this election. This brought their total to 29 seats in the Senate.
- The Labor Party won 12 seats. They now have 25 seats in total.
