The 2020 UEFA Champions League Final was a super exciting football match. It was the big end game of the 2019–20 UEFA Champions League season. This is Europe's top club football tournament. It's organized by UEFA. This was the 65th time this tournament was held. It was also the 28th season since it changed its name. Before, it was called the European Champion Clubs' Cup.
The final was supposed to be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. It was planned for May 30, 2020. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was moved. It ended up being played on August 23, 2020, in Lisbon, Portugal.
The team that won this final got to play against the winner of the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League. This special match is called the 2020 UEFA Super Cup. The Champions League winner also got a spot in the group stage of the next season's tournament, the 2020–21 UEFA Champions League.
