Kingsley Junior Coman (born 13 June 1996) is a French professional footballer. He plays as a winger for the German club Bayern Munich. He also plays for the France national team.
Coman started his training at Paris Saint-Germain's youth academy. In 2014, he joined Juventus and won the Serie A and Coppa Italia in his first season. In 2015, he moved to Bayern Munich, first on loan, then permanently. With Bayern, he has won many titles, including eight Bundesliga championships and the 2019–20 UEFA Champions League. He scored the winning goal in the final against his old club, Paris Saint-Germain. He also won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup that same year. Coman won a league title in his first 11 professional seasons, a truly amazing streak!
He played for France's youth teams from under-16 to under-21 levels. He joined the senior national team in November 2015. Coman has represented France in major tournaments like UEFA Euro 2016 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where France reached the finals.

Coman's Football Journey
Early Days in Paris
Kingsley Coman was born in Paris, France. His parents are from Guadeloupe. He started playing football at age six with US Sénart-Moissy in 2002.
After two years, Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) noticed his talent. He joined their youth academy in 2004. Coman made his professional debut for PSG on 17 February 2013. He was only 16 years old, making him the youngest player to play for PSG at that time.
In August 2013, PSG won the Trophée des Champions. Coman played in the final minutes of this match.
Moving to Juventus

On 7 July 2014, Coman signed a five-year contract with Italian champions Juventus. He made his Serie A debut on 30 August 2014.
On 15 January 2015, Coman scored his first professional goal for Juventus. This happened in a Coppa Italia match, which Juventus won 6–1. He was part of the team that won the Coppa Italia that season. On 6 June, he played in the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final. Juventus lost 3–1 to Barcelona.
In August 2015, Juventus agreed to loan Coman to German club Bayern Munich.
Success with Bayern Munich
Joining Bayern on Loan

On 30 August 2015, Coman joined Bayern Munich on a two-year loan from Juventus. He made his debut for Bayern on 12 September. A week later, he scored his first goal for his new club. The following week, he scored again. On 24 November, Coman scored his first Champions League goal. He was also a runner-up for the 2015 Golden Boy award. This award is given to Europe's best player under 21.
On 12 March 2016, Coman made three assists in a 5–0 win. Four days later, he helped Bayern win a thrilling Champions League match against his former club, Juventus. He assisted a goal and then scored the winning goal in extra time.
Coman helped Bayern win the 2016 DFB-Pokal Final. This was his eighth club trophy before he even turned 20!
Overcoming Challenges
During the 2016–17 season, Coman faced some injuries. He made 25 appearances and scored two goals. On 27 April 2017, Bayern decided to sign Coman permanently. He signed a contract until 2020.
The 2017–18 season was very good for Coman. He played 32 matches, scored seven goals, and made eight assists. However, he suffered an ankle injury in February 2018. This injury required surgery. He returned to play in the 2018 DFB-Pokal Final in May 2018. On 21 December 2017, Coman extended his contract with Bayern until 2023.
More Trophies and Key Goals
On 12 August 2018, Coman scored in Bayern's 5–0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. This helped his team win the 2018 DFL-Supercup. He later suffered another ankle injury, similar to the previous season. He returned to play in December 2018. Two weeks later, he played his 100th game for Bayern. On 14 April 2019, Coman scored two goals in a match against Düsseldorf.
On 18 May 2019, Coman won his fourth straight Bundesliga title. This was his seventh league title in a row! A week later, he won his second DFB-Pokal as Bayern beat RB Leipzig 3–0. Coman scored the second goal in that final.
In the 2020 UEFA Champions League Final on 23 August 2020, Coman scored the only goal. This secured Bayern's sixth Champions League title against Paris Saint-Germain. He became the first player to score against a former club in a Champions League final.
Recent Seasons
On 21 October 2020, Coman scored two goals and assisted another in a 4–0 win against Atlético Madrid. On 8 May 2021, he won his 10th league title of his professional career.
Before the 2021–22 season, Coman received the number 11 shirt. On 12 January 2022, he signed a new contract with Bayern until 2027.
On 21 August 2022, Coman scored his first goal of the season in a 7–0 win. On 14 February 2023, he scored the only goal in a 1–0 win against his former club Paris Saint-Germain. On 12 December 2023, Coman scored the only goal in a 1–0 away victory over Manchester United.
Playing for France
On 2 June 2014, at just 17 years old, Coman played his first game for the France under-21 team. He scored a goal in a 6–0 win against Singapore.
On 5 November 2015, Coman was chosen for the France senior squad for the first time. He made his debut eight days later in a 2–0 win over Germany. On 29 March 2016, he scored his first international goal against Russia, helping France win 4–2.
In May 2016, Coman was part of France's squad for UEFA Euro 2016. France reached the final but lost to Portugal. Coman was nominated for the Young Player of the Tournament Award. He was also on standby for France's squad at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
On 2 June 2019, Coman returned to play for France after 19 months. In June 2021, he was included in the squad for UEFA Euro 2020. On 9 November 2022, he was part of the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. In the 2022 FIFA World Cup final against Argentina, Coman came on as a substitute. The match ended 3–3 and went to a penalty shootout. Argentina won the shootout.
How Coman Plays
Coman is known as a very promising young player. He is a fast, talented, and skilled winger. He has great dribbling skills, good vision, and explosive speed. He can play on either side of the field. Even though he is naturally right-footed, he often plays on the left. This allows him to cut inside and shoot or create chances for his teammates. In 2015, Don Balón magazine named him one of the 101 best young players in the world.
Sometimes, under coaches like Julian Nagelsmann and Didier Deschamps, Coman has also played as an attacking right wingback.
Personal Life
Kingsley Coman has children with his girlfriend, Sabrina, who is from Sweden. They own an apartment in Stockholm. In June 2021, his third child was born. In June 2024, he left the France national team camp to be there for the birth of his fourth child.
