Jacquavius Dennard Smith (born May 1, 2000), known professionally as 9lokkNine (pronounced and formerly spelled GlokkNine), is an American rapper from Orlando, Florida. He became well-known for his part in the 2019 song "223's", which reached number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart. Before this, he gained fans in his area with songs like "10 Percent" and "Crayola" in 2018. He later signed with Birdman's Cash Money Records in August 2018. Cash Money Records is part of Republic Records.
His 2019 song "Beef," which featured NLE Choppa and Murda Beatz, was his first major release. It came out before his first official mixtape, Mind of Destruction (2019). Neither the song nor the mixtape appeared on music charts.

About 9lokkNine's Early Life
Jacquavius Smith was born on May 1, 2000. His family background includes both Bahamian and African American roots. He grew up in the Mercy Drive area of West Orlando, Florida. When he was younger, he dreamed of becoming a football player. He also shared that T-Pain and Lil Wayne were big musical inspirations for him. His stage name, "9lokkNine," came from his friends. They called him "Glock" because they thought his hard work and determination were as reliable as the famous pistol.
9lokkNine's Music Career
Smith began his music journey by releasing his first collection of songs, an extended play called Kold Face Kold Case, on January 2, 2018. It had nine tracks. Soon after, on April 17, 2018, he released his first full-length mixtape, Bloodshells Revenge, which featured 18 songs.
He also released a music video for his song "I Don't Need No Help" on May 8, 2018. Later that summer, on July 23, 2018, he put out another 17-track mixtape titled Loyalty Kill Love. A big moment in his career happened on August 3, 2018, when he signed a record deal with Birdman's Cash Money Records. This label is part of Republic Records. Reports said the contract was worth $2 million. Towards the end of 2018, on December 19, he released an 11-track mixtape called Lil Glokk That Stole Khristmas. In April 2019, Smith released his song "Party Pooper."
In August 2019, Smith's song "223's" was released as a single by 300 Entertainment, featuring YNW Melly. This song was originally on Smith's Lil Glokk That Stole Khristmas mixtape from the previous December. The song became very popular on the video app TikTok, where many creators danced to it. Because of its popularity, "223's" reached number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also earned a double platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), meaning it sold over two million units.
On October 25, 2019, Smith released his 16-track mixtape Mind of Destruction. This was his first major release with Cash Money and Republic Records. On February 5, 2020, he released his song "Moods." 9lokkNine also performed at the 2018 Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida, on May 13, 2018.
