Club History
Early Years: A.S. Fidelis Andria (1971–2005)
The club began in 1971 as A.S. Fidelis Andria. At first, their team colors were red and yellow. They were the second football club in the town of Andria.
In 1978, another local club, A.S. Andria, stopped playing. Fidelis Andria then decided to change their colors. They chose blue and white, which are the traditional colors of the town.
With their new blue and white colors, the club played for many years in higher Italian leagues. These included Serie B and Serie C1. Their last time in Serie B was in 1999. After the 2004-05 season, the club faced financial problems and closed down.
Rebirth as A.S. Andria BAT (2005–2013)
In the summer of 2005, the club was started again. It was named A.S. Andria BAT. The "BAT" part stood for Barletta-Andria-Trani. This is the name of the province where Andria is located.
The team played in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione from 2005 to 2009. At the end of the 2008–09 season, they moved up to the Lega Pro Prima Divisione. This happened because another team, Avellino, was moved down to a lower league.
After the 2012-13 Lega Pro Prima Divisione season, the club was moved down a league. However, they did not join the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione league.
New Beginnings: S.S. Fidelis Andria 1928 (2013–2018)
In the summer of 2013, a brand new team was formed. It was called S.S.D. Fidelis Andria 1928. This new team was allowed to join the Eccellenza Apulia league.
In the 2013–2014 season, the team finished in 2nd place. They then won special national play-off games. This allowed Fidelis Andria to be promoted to Serie D. Serie D is the highest level of non-professional football in Italy.
During the 2014–15 season, Fidelis Andria played in Group H of Serie D. On April 26, they won a game against Cavese. This win meant the club was promoted to Lega Pro. Lega Pro is the third highest football division in Italy. They achieved this with two matches still left in the season. After the regular season, Fidelis Andria played in the Scudetto Serie D tournament. This tournament decides the amateur champions. The team was knocked out in the group stages.
From July 1, 2015, the club became a member of the Italian Professional Football League. This league is known as Lega Pro. Because of this, the club changed its name to S.S. Fidelis Andria 1928.
Fidelis Andria finished the 2015–16 season in 7th place. This good finish meant they could play in the next 2016–17 Coppa Italia tournament. After the last match of the season on May 7, their coach, Luca D'Angelo, said he would not continue with the club.
Fidelis Andria 2018 (2018–Present)
In July 2018, the club again faced financial difficulties. They were not allowed to register for the upcoming Serie C season. On the last day for registering for Serie D, a group of investors stepped in. They formed S.S.D. Fidelis Andria 2018. This new club took over the sporting rights of the old team. The re-formed club was then allowed to join Serie D.
In June 2022, the club announced a new main sponsor for the 2022-2023 season. This sponsor was an American company called "7Crocketts".
