The movie was released in the United Kingdom on October 18, 2019. It later came out on Netflix in the United States. The film earned $43.1 million and got great reviews. Story of Farmageddon
The movie begins in the town of Mossingham. A farmer and his dog, Bingo, see a UFO land. An alien comes out, and they run away scared.
Back at Mossy Bottom Farm, Shaun and the sheep are bored. They try to have fun with risky games, but Bitzer, the farm dog, stops them. He bans all their wild ideas. Shaun tries to order pizza, but the boxes arrive empty.
The next morning, Shaun finds pizza crusts. He then meets the alien, who is a playful creature named Lu-La. She is from a planet called To-Pa and has special powers. Lu-La can also copy sounds she hears.
Shaun introduces Lu-La to the flock. She accidentally causes trouble with a farm machine. This creates strange shapes in the field, like crop circles. The Farmer hears about alien sightings and decides to open an alien-themed park. He calls it "Farmageddon." He hopes to earn money to fix his damaged farm equipment.
Meanwhile, Agent Red leads the Ministry for Alien Detection (M.A.D.). She has always believed in aliens since she saw two as a child. Agent Red investigates the UFO reports. She finds the UFO has disappeared. The Farmer and Bingo are arrested because of the UFO sighting.
Shaun and Lu-La find the UFO, which was invisible. They try to start it but can't. Lu-La shows Shaun her memories. She is just a child who accidentally launched her parents' spaceship. They realize they need a special egg-shaped device to make it work.
M.A.D. captures the spaceship with Shaun and Lu-La inside. They take it to their secret headquarters. Shaun and Lu-La sneak out. They get the device back while Bitzer distracts the agents. Bitzer was mistaken for the alien because the Farmer had dressed him up.
Shaun, Lu-La, and Bitzer escape in the spaceship. They set a course for To-Pa, Lu-La's home planet. Shaun accidentally crashes the ship back on Earth. Lu-La is sad and loses her powers. Shaun feels bad and tries to find another way to help her.
Shaun realizes the device can contact Lu-La's parents. But it needs a signal from a high place. Shaun suggests they climb to the top of the Farmer's "Farmageddon" sign.
With help from the flock and Bitzer, Shaun and Lu-La climb the sign. The Farmer is busy starting his theme park show. Agent Red arrives and chases them up the sign with a robot. Shaun manages to send a message to To-Pa.
Lu-La's parents, Ub-Do and Me-Ma, quickly arrive. They are happy to reunite with their daughter. Agent Red realizes these are the aliens she saw as a child. Shaun, Bitzer, and the flock say goodbye to the aliens. The "Farmageddon" park becomes a huge success. Everyone thinks the alien visit was part of the show's special effects.
In a scene during the credits, Shaun, Bitzer, and Timmy play frisbee. The Farmer tries out his new machine. The frisbee gets stuck, and the machine explodes, scaring them.
In a scene after the credits, a man in a M.A.D. suit plays music. He takes off his suit and is revealed to be Professor Brian Cox. Timmy comes in and unplugs the keyboard because it's too loud.
