BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film
Presented by British Academy of Film and Television Arts
Country United Kingdom
First awarded 1955
Currently held by Zootopia 2 (2025)

The BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film is a special prize given to the best animated movie each year. It's presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, or BAFTA for short. BAFTA is a British group that celebrates amazing work in movies, TV shows, and video games. They have a big awards show every year called the British Academy Film Awards.

This award started a long time ago, at the 1955 ceremony. Back then, it honored both short and long animated films. After 1982, BAFTA created a separate award for short animated films. Then, in 2007, the 'Best Animated Film' award returned. Now, it's given only to full-length animated movies.
