Adamsville is a city located in the western part of Jefferson County, Alabama, in the United States. It is situated just north of Pleasant Grove, which is a suburb of Birmingham.
Adamsville first became an official town in 1901. However, it stopped being an official town in 1915. Later, in 1953, it became an official town again. According to the 2020 census, about 4,366 people live in Adamsville.

Adamsville first appeared in the U.S. Census in 1910 as an official town. After stopping its official status in 1915, it reappeared in the census in 1950 as a village. It became an official town again in 1953. Since then, it has been included in every census. In the 1960s, Adamsville changed its status from a town to a city.

The 2020 United States census counted 4,366 people living in Adamsville. There were 1,471 households and 1,032 families in the city.
