Adele Neuhauser (born 17 January 1959) is a famous Austrian actress. She was born in Athens, Greece. Adele started her acting journey in the theater. Later, she also became well-known for her roles in television shows and movies. She is a member of the Akademie des Österreichischen Films, which is an important group for filmmakers in Austria.

Adele Neuhauser's Early Life
Adele Neuhauser was born in Athens. When she was four years old, her family moved from Greece to Vienna, Austria. She grew up there. Her mother and half-brother left the family. Adele and her brother stayed with their father, George. Later, she grew up just with her father.
Adele Neuhauser later moved to Vienna after separating from her husband, Zoltan PaulGraz and Weimar. Julian then became a professional musician and writes music for films. Adele enjoys hiking, often by herself.

Adele Neuhauser comes from a very artistic family. Her grandparents from the Waldviertel region were painters. Her brother, Peter Marquant, also became a painter. Her grandfather created the special wall art called sgraffito on the Vienna Künstlerhaus building. Because her grandfather thought there should only be one painter in the family, her grandmother focused on making tapestry and Punch and Judy figures. She also worked for the Wiener Werkstätten, which was a famous group of artists and designers.
Adele Neuhauser's Acting Career
Adele Neuhauser knew she wanted to be an actress from a very young age, since she was six years old. From 1976 to 1978, she trained to be an actor at the Schauspielschule Krauss drama school.
In her early twenties, she moved to Germany. She started performing in theaters in cities like Münster, Essen, Regensburg, and at the Staatstheater Mainz. She also performed in Vienna sometimes.
Becoming Well-Known
Adele Neuhauser became widely known for playing the character Mephisto in Faust at the Stadttheater Regensburg. She also appeared in several movies. Some of these include Helden in Tirol, Gone – eine tödliche Leidenschaft, Wo ist Fred?, Little White Lies , and 3faltig.
She also starred in popular television series. These include Tatort, Polizeiruf 110, and Sinan Toprak ist der Unbestechliche. She became especially famous for her unique voice. Many people recognized her voice from her role as the farmer's wife Julie Zirbner in the ORF show Vier Frauen und ein Todesfall.
In 2008, Adele Neuhauser had surgery on her vocal cords. This was because of some growths and swelling on her vocal cords. After the surgery, the pitch of her voice became a little higher. She says that since then, people no longer mistake her for a man when she answers the phone!
Since 2010, she has played the role of Bibi Fellner in the Viennese version of Tatort. Bibi Fellner is a former detective who works alongside Harald Krassnitzer, who plays Moritz Eisner. This show is produced by the ORF.
